Shingles :(

I've got shingles....again. It's horrible and really itchy and painful. Plus I have a rubbish bad headache and I've lost my appetite and I'm exhausted all the time. And I'm worried whether or not it will affect my pill - does anybody know which types of medicines stop it working?
Oh it itches!! :frown:

as for the pill i know that most antiboitics can affect it but your doctor should have taken this into account when giving you your prescription... hope you feel better soon!! xx

its rubbish.

shingles is caused by the same virus as chickpox - there's nothing you can take to cure it, it isn't a bacterial infection you can't take antibiotics for it...

i'd advise you to see your gp

Are you taking Aciclovir? That's what I had when I had shingles this summer. I don't think that it affects your pill, but check the leaflet that came with it to be sure.

Sorry to hear you have shingles, by the way, I felt so ill when I had it! You have my sympathy!
