So just out of curiosity...if I applied to a uni asking for particular grades, are they allowed to make me an offer on the conditions I get grades higher than what they set? I applied to Birmingham, who wanted AAB. I just read my decision letter on UCAS and they're asking me for AAA. Maybe I have been predicted these grades in my reference, but I don't think this is fair considering I chose B'ham as my middle group uni. I dunno, maybe they have the right to do this?

There may have been something like "Typical offer - AAB-AAA".

Hull did this to me, 200-280 points, they offered me a place with 280 points.

They can do that if they want to. It's to push you. And with competition so high, they are needing to weed some people out.
