I have recently sent off (past week) my UCAS application with my 5 choices being economics and accountancy & finance course at nottingham, trent uni and loughborough.
My concern is that as i have heard these are quite competitive courses and i am a mature student (no a levels) my chances of getting an offer are quite slim and to top things off i sent a draft of my personal statement instead of the finished version! Although there are only a couple of minor punctuation and grammer mistakes in their
Would i be better off choosing a more generic course such as "industrial economics with russian" or something along those lines instead of just "economics" or be better switching to less prestigious universities?
And for information i have 10 GCSE's A-C including maths science and english at B. I have 60 open university credits in accounting and 2 years work related experience if that counts for anything
Any advice is appreicated!
Find out how.
