Please can people top protesting about the cuts...your showing our country up and just embarassing everyone, people around the world will be looking at us thinking look at those bunch of clueless idiots and thugs. Also i find it strange how all the lefties are out protesting is that because the right wingers have jobs to go to and are busy earning money. Maybe if you didnt protest so much you might have some money as well. You won;t be able to protest when the government brings the legislation in that stops public sector workers from protesting and striking.

huh, that's interesting. funny thing is, i'm a "lefty" and i'm the only one of my friends who has a job, the majority of whom are right-wing to very right-wing.

and, i'm a "person around the world" cause i'm an american, and i don't really see what's thugish about protesting? i mean, unless democracy has gone out the window.

tbf, the rest of the world probably won't be thinking that at all - the French protest at everything and people respect them for it.

Our respect goes when we no longer stand up for what we believe is right. Protesting by whatever means - even violence if necessary - against the plans of the money masters is the right thing to do.

Today, marching seems to be a retro activity, an act of political nostalgia more than a tactic to bring about specific change. Very few of those who walk the streets "making their voices heard" would be willing to go much further to change politics.

If you think the image of Britain is bad on the outside what until you see the inside.
"legislation to stop protesting"??? wait so we'll become an authoritarian state!

Everyone has a right to protest and complain to stand up for they think is right. It's the beauty of it all. We shouldn't just sit down and take it like you're suggesting we do. That sort of attitude never gets the peoples voices heard. Any protest is good, politicians like to walk all over us. It's all well and good sitting and complaining at home but not doing anything about it. But it's silly to complain when people do actually do something.

Think about what you are saying OP.
Everyone has the right to protest.
Judging from your post, I'm guessing you will just bend over and take it from anyone?
People like you remind me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came....

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialist
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
    Then they came for me
And there was no one left
    To speak out for me
Good luck on getting any sympathy from anyone when the cuts affect you.

They look like animals. The people fighting over the tv are extremely pathetic because they're so deadly serious.

I take it that you mean the violent protesters? Yes they look pathetic, but not the peaceful ones.

I know... It makes me hate people. I enjoyed some of the comments tho...

But really.. They all seem possessed in a hyper state of delusional excitement, like they have been strapped to a chair and forced to watch 100mph adverts screaming at how awesome all the 50% off deals are going to be, and then they are force fed a gallon of Espresso and let loose en mass.

People are actually trampling over other human beings in a bid to save £50.

I just read all about Black Friday, it's even more ridiculous than the video shows! It isn't actually a sale day, it's just the first day of christmas shopping when everything's still at normal price! I even read about one employee being trampled TO DEATH and customers still carried on running by! Loads of people are injured every year too. It makes me sick. Bloody yanks
