so i have just got a job at uni, it was meant to be around 10 hours a week but they keep putting me in 3 times a week around 6-12, so planning to say when i am next in i will struggle with uni work to do 3 nights a week.

Anyway last night i was working and loads of staff were in and drinking, boss didnt seem to mind and there were 3 of us working. Anyway they all sat around the bar and chatted/joked but being new i found it quite hard to join in but really tried as i dont want to seem quiet/shy. Anyway i guess i did ok and then some of them left and there was one guy and one of the girls who worked theres boyfriend and friend. The friend was ok but the other 2 were asking weird questions (bit pervy but joky, quite like someone i used to work with). Anyhow i just went a long etc. but they made me feel quite intimidated, how do you deal with these people and make conversation as i do want to as i dont want to be branded boring/quiet etc. It made me really think do i like the job as i am new to bar work but i think i do just yesterday was a horrible long shift and really quiet.

Do you work with people you dont like? or find weird, whats the best way to deal with them? It probabaly sounds like nothing but it bothered me.
    Thanks x

So you melt and let them control you, if your contract is for 10 hours, you do 10 hours.
