If so, how do they justify also significantly reducing / capping the number of international students allowed into the UK. Does this capping also include/incorporate student exchange programmes?
The impact of both combined could be catastrophic to some Universities, and also in the longer term, our economy.
This will ( surely)inevitably lead to a dramatic increase in privatisation / private uni’s. This will in turn increase the gulf between the top institutions (and quality of teaching) and the rest (like in the USA) whereby it will be impossible for certain people from certain socio economic backgrounds to afford a quality HE.

    Rant over! ?
