    Hi there!
Basically I had a politics essay to write. I spent a long time on it and handed it in. But the issue is, I thought I proof read it but it was more of a 'skim read/proof read' now that I think about it, if that makes sense, its sooo stupid of me I know! After submitting it, I actually spent time to properly read it and found 4 errors in terms of like typos/grammar errors. Will it affect my mark by a great deal?

Typos are usually fine, unless they're widespread, endemic or related to a misunderstanding of the subject (eg. authors' names, words in the module title, etc). Yes, obviously, it's better not to have any - but the odd one or two that slips through the net won't savage your essay.

Although the funny ones will probably be kept by the marker for posterity.

Ok thanks these are the errors that I found:

"from Thucydides account of the Peloponnesian War "
(It was meant to say - Thucydides' account)

"cooperation which occurring in the system "
(it was meant to say 'which is occuring')

    "dwell on them issues"
(it was meant to say 'these issues')

"wars and balancing of powers is a feature "
    (it should say 'are features')

Those are the only errors. They were all sort of spread out, and just make the sentences lose clarity but still make sense.
I really hope the marker wont be too mean

They'll probably cackle at 'them issues' but I doubt they'll pick up on the others, unless they are very thorough indeed.
