Good sir, from valid sources, I can see that you, yourself attended the £9,900 per annum King Edward's School for Boys in Birmingham, however, the majority of our population do not attend prestigious independent schools for the sole reason that our parents simply cannot afford the fees. How do you suggest then that we start paying £7000 plus per year to attend universities? By increasing the already enormous student loan?! This idea is the start of the privatisation of universities in England, and that is a very sad thought. If you want to improve the standard of higher education in this country, you should perhaps start by scraping degrees which quite honestly aren't worth the paper they're written on, such as "Football management".
I am 18 years old, living in Oxford, surrounded by the pitoresque university buildings, encouraged to go on to university. I have applied, and received a few offers, yet if I don't reach the grades, I will be forced to reapply and pay the extortionate tuition fees which simply won't be possible. I quite honestly don't see how the government can fund for the poorer students to pay these fees when we already have a huge debt.
If possible, I would like to hear your reasons for the dramatic change in the way universities can charge tuition fees.
    Many thanks
    Laura
