Seems to me like the admissions have gone quiet. Is this just them considering the remaining applicants? Anyone know when they'll be giving out the offers/rejections again?

anything? the Accounting and Finance department went pretty crazy with offers last week, so not expecting too much from them this week. they are likely to go a bit quiet.

It was in reference to the headlines the other day about Gaddafi buying places for 400 students for £1m, and they ended up getting 300k! It was a joke!

Fact remains though - on a more serious note - universities will have a price. It's a fairly well known fact (or just simply logical) that you can buy a place at most unis for most courses. You can even buy your degree effectively. It's a joke.

I had a friend last year who's dad is a partner in a very big law firm, he need AAA to get into a top medical school and got something like BBC (think it was worse), his dad said to him 'don't worry son I'll sort it out'. Later that day he was in.

It's all so corrupt but such is the power of money!
