# basic C4/FP2 integration mini-question Watch

1. Find the general solution of x^3 (dy/dx) + 3(x^2)y = sinx

working:
d[(x^3)(y)]/dx = sinx

(x^3)y = S sinx dx

anyone know why it's not S (x^3)y dy = S sinx dx?

would really be appreciated!

You've already done the integration on the left.

You should get x^3y=-cosx+c
