    Hellooo

Am completely new to this, but I was wondering if someone could help me?

I was wondering how much the average monthly (or weekly) rent was for students, and also how much on average would bills (gas, electricity and water) be for 5/6 people sharing a house? I'm currently in halls at UWE Bristol, so I am absolutely clueless!

If anyone could help that would be brilliant! Thanks a lot

i pay £3639.99 a year for my rent in three installments which is a bit of a headache, cause they don't time the rent to come out at the same time as your loan goes in!
plus i pay £32 a month rent which is definetely too expensive, so all in all, its pretty expensive!

Depends where you live really! I am in Manchester and over the 3 years rent was about £60-70 a week average.

On top of this I would say the bills are about £10-15 a week each so overall you will be spending around the region of £75 a week but it all depends. Search online for the average student prices in your area.

    hope this helps!

When I studied my MSc in bristol I stayed in Bishopston for £250 a month (which admittedly was a bargain for the house, the owners seemed desperate to rent it out and it was a month before term started). It depends a lot on the area, in the centre or in Clifton it's likely to be £325-400. Bishopston, Filton, Fishponds and the other areas nearer UWE will be cheaper, probably £250-300ish? for a simple place, but expect to pay more if you want a nicer finish.

Bills are usually ~£30 a month all in all, but it's difficult to tell since all the bills are for different periods of time (e.g. Water, gas and electric bills are quarterly or bi-annual so involve an big payment a few times a year, whereas phoneline and internet bills are monthly so lots of smaller amounts).
