Applying to Exeter with ABB predicted grades?

Do you think I'd get an offer for combined honours English and Japanese with deferred entry?

Just gonna give my opinion on this
From what I've heard, it'll be hard to get an offer; they'll probably want AAB and because it's English and Japanese they'll probably want the grades to be quite high to be honest.

But!
In saying that, it also entirely depends on the personal statement too.
If you prove you're more than capable of doing your course and really shine out then you could get one.

You could always just apply anyway, see if you can get in

If you think you can get the grades its worth a shot, you could always have it as your "high risk" choice

Well I know English itself is very competitive at Exeter. Not sure about combined degrees though. My friend applied at Exeter for economics with AAB and was rejected pretty hastily.

Definitely apply.

If they give you an offer: all is good, you're going Exeter next year.

If they don't give you an offer: you still have 4 other choices to rely on

If you dont apply, you're just going to regret it later

I contacted the admissions team with that question and was told that an offer with predicted grades ABB was unlikely but was still a possibility, just depends on the quality and quantity of the applications they receive. That was for physics.
As freefag says just go for it.
I got in with an ABB also, good luck OP
