I literally have a free month.

I'm on a gap year and I'm off to Asia for 4 months in early January to help out on some projects teaching english to children. So far I've been fundraising and working. Now though, all the fundraising is done and I've finished work!

What shall I do?! I've got this month to literally do whatever I want. I don't have loads of money to spend as it's all going to my trip, but surely there must be something constructive I can do?!

    Any ideas?

Try to learn bits of the language for the countries you'll be travelling through?

    Pretty much this.

Or take the money to a casino and put it all on black.

    But seriously, don't do that.

Which parts of Asia are you going to? Depending on where you go, it might be very helpful to know a little of the national language before actually going there. Immerse yourself in the culture through watching foreign movies and listening to the country's music, maybe? So when you go there, you'd at least know a little about the country and have something to talk about with the locals!

Learn any languages that may be useful on your visit, also look into places you can go if you have any free time.

I'm heading to Thailand, India and Nepal!

That's a really good suggestion that many of you have given. I'll definitely look into learning some basic lingo for some of the places I'm going to be visiting! It can only make things easier for me I guess!

I think aswell I'm going to get into some serious "pre-university" reading! Basically, it'll hopefully be chilled out but equally constructive!
