I'm going to hate my house next year Watch

I know very few people at uni so I don't have a choice of who to live with in 2nd year. I know that I'm going to hate the set up of the house - I want to get involved with all the student events, nights out and have a generally fun house that i can bring people back to for small parties etc. My future housemates are very opposite to this though and never want to go out or get involved. What can I do? They are really lovely people, definitely good friends, but I don't want to live in a small, quiet, boring house next year...

Do you have any other friends at university from lectures that aren't living in your halls at the moment? If so, why not start socialising with them now? After-all, there's really nothing to stop you letting these people come over to your shared house next year, providing you are respectful to the people you're living with (regarding noise etc). Failing that, why not have one last crack at encouraging the people you're going to be living with to be more sociable?
