Hi, currently in year 12, sitting a Maths Core 1 and Law Unit 2 in January. I'm not so worried about the law - however I am certainly worried about my maths core 1 regarding not getting the result I should be achieving.
If I was to resit, what would universities regard that as? Would they just look at my first mark and disregard completely my resit mark? My college have been saying they completely disregard the resit result, however it appears to me they are just trying to make us work hard first time understandably, but what if resiting is the next best option after the paper?

Several top universities really look down on resits so try your hardest. Core 1 isn't that hard, you should be able to manage. All the papers are the same, with questions just phrased slightly differently and using different numbers. It's not too hard to learn all the methods.

Tbh it's Core 3 and 4 next year that you will be worrying about; I'm sure you will do fine in C1. Universities won't disregard your resit result, but do start revising daily and you'll be fine.
