Terrible options - and you'd probably have to have a gun to my head to make me choose - but I'd probably rather be a Child of Thatcher, since in my view she was a better Prime Minister.

You should've added 'Son of Blair' as an option, to complete the line-up of well-loved figures

Most people here would be too young to properly know what Thatcher did

Would rather be a son of Brown if it didn't mean I was only a few years old.

Child of Major it is then.

Do you have to live through something to understand it?

I'm a son of Brown. Bold, non-bigoted and brash - but with a sensitive core deep down. :yep:

To understand it as well as the Brown years, most definitely. To have known what was currently happening, with people's experiences, then to see Brown's immediate reactions to it and media reports gives a far better understanding of Brown than reading about X happened, then Thatcher did Y gives of her.

I feel sorry for women with a surname of Brown, they must be very confused as to what to pick

    Ugghh.

I guess Brown technically wasn't evil so I'll go with him... I guess.

I know that schools don't always focus on such stuff nowadays, but studying history allows us to live through others' lives.
