Exfoliate; well. Get a good sugar scrub on the job if you'd like. Try to use products with glycolic and salicylic acid and exfoliate in circular motions. I would do this before and after shaving, also please bear in mind that products with alcohol in will dry up your skin and close up pores in the process, worsening ingrown hairs. I think it goes without saying that you must moisturise your legs often to ensure the above does not happen.

Ive had a couple of ingrowing hairs from epilating (normally underarm area) and I just pluck them with tweezers. They never come back in the same place again. But yes, definately exfoliate as often as you can.

Shave in the direction of hairgrowth, not against!!
I had awful ingrowns on my legs and I was absolutely despairing! I actually stopped shaving for months to let my legs recover (I had to start shaving again though when my boyfriend made the flattering comparison of my legs to those of a gorilla )
But what I do now is warm my skin up with a warm flannel, use lots of shaving gel, shave downwards, and moisturise lots afterwards.
    No more ingrowns

    This is spot on!

For a general exfoliation I would totally recommed getting some exfoliating glove! They're brilliant and don't cost an absolute fortune! £3 or so and they last for ages! A worth while investment!
