Calm down, shaving hair does not make it grow faster. It has been researched, tested and proven. It will grow quick as you have just shaved but it will slow down eventually. It will sting and be scratchy. Apply some cream? Put some aftershave around the area if you don't want ingrown hair. After a few weeks it will be normal. Don't worry and relax

Epilate or wax. (epilator fine for underarms, but too scared to try it elsewhere :P)

As everyone else has said, laser it off, wax or try a hair-removal cream

Alternatively if you have a beard trimmer then maybe try trimming on the lowest setting - it won't be as close as shaving, but is faster and easier to maintain.

Shaving actually has no relation to speed and thickness of hair growth; it's just a myth. So you can keep on shaving, without worrying that it may cause problems.

You could just get laser hair removal or waxed though.

Hair does not grow back quicker or thicker every time you shave.

Try waxing? It should grow back slower and finer with repeated use. If you aren't confident waxing it yourself, get it done professionally

If you wax it will grow back slower and not as thick

      It actually does.

People are suggesting laser, however this is an expensive and long term solution. For now, try waxing or epilating.

No, it doesn't. It seems thicker due to the short hair feeling a lot coarser than the long hair, however it is actually no thicker. As for faster, that is also untrue. Each individual person has their own 'hair growth' time, however it will not grow faster when shorter than it does when it is long.

      Wax or epilate.
This can make the hair thinner and grow more slowly after a time.
