I've had a mega heavy cold for a few days but now I've got an unbearable temperature, swollen glands, watery eyes, sore nose, cough and I keep getting palpitations. Don't know if it's Flu or just a heavy cold. Genuinely feel like death. Be nice please, I'm not feeling good

Does it matter either way? The course of action is the same.

Someone once said to me: 'if you were to place a £5 note at the end of someone's bed and they could lean forwards to take it, then it's just a cold but, if they can't, it's flu'. Yeah, it's a fairly lame analogy but I know that when I had flu I couldn't move for days. Just pamper yourself: take a warm bath, drink hot drinks and so on 'til you're feeling more yourself.

I made the stupid mistake of going into school and then walking in minus 4 degree winds with it. It feels horrible. Thanks anyway.

:console: I can empathise as I'm not feeling very well myself at the moment, what with a combination of this stupid weather and having my second cold in as many months. I hope you feel better soon OP!

I'm sorry to say you have swine flu...

I didn't want to just tell you the problem without a solution so I went and did some research. It seems to be your lucky day as swine flu has been dismissed in 2009.

In all honesty I think you just have a cold. Hope you get well soon!

When I had the flu last year, I literally could not move, my bones ached. The doctor had to come to me. So if you could make it into school, I'm going to go with a no.
Although colds are horrible just the same! Get better soon! :console:
