I am approaching 27 soon and feel stuck. I still live at home but cos of the recession I am stuck in a dead end admin job which makes me ill due to work overload as they can't 'afford' the staff. My dream is to get a house with my boyfriend and have a baby. I would love to do this but worry about the finances. What are my options?

I think you should sort your career out first, no job is truly dead-end. Check out other jobs, build an excellent CV, do NOT quit your current job, apply to as many places as you can and try to secure a few interviews. Or, see what opportunities there are within the current company you work for. Just research.

I know it's difficult in these times, but that shouldn't stop you from trying - you'll never know.

Perhaps you could take a year out?

Try and get a loan or use savings and just go travelling for a year and look at your life in a different perspective?
