# Aritmetic sequences help please... Watch

1. 5[2a+9d]=95
10[2a+19d]=290

How do you solve to find a and b using simultanous equations?
I've tried it, but the answer doesnt come to 5 and 1 (which is what the mark scheme says)
2. Start by dividing by 5 and 10 to get

2a+9d=19
2a+19d=29

Now subtract first from second...
