So an Important part of Oxbridge teaching is the Supervision/Tutorial System. Where Supervisions are at Cambridge and Tutorials are at Oxford.
From what I can tell, they are essentially the same thing worded differently. I was also wondering, Did one start using this system before another?

The tutorial system is basically a remnant of how teaching worked before mass universities were invented (although today's tutorials aren't really comparable to tutorials several centuries ago). So presumably Oxford was using it first, simply because it's the older university.
