If I apply defferred, does my application take longer? Watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi everyone,
I have applied this year for 2012 entry and haven't had offers yet so getting quite worried. I have friends that have applied to the same universities after me, but already received offers for next year. Does anyone know if they put deferred entries aside and come back to them later, or should I be panicking!?
    Thanks xxx

Don't worry there are loads of people who have applied this year who still haven't received offers - universities are required to have an answer by March I believe, so some places will take as long as that to respond, and this applies to deferred entry as well as far as I know.

Shame you're deferring though, if you went for 2011 entry you wouldn't be hit with the tuition fee rise.

They have to deal with deferred applications in the same timescales, so may not necessarily look at the later. But it's up to each uni how they do things. There's no point in panicking, though, as it doesn't change anything.
