I am currently on o2 simplicity one month contract. 300 minutes, unlimited texts and free o2 to o2 calls (most of my friends/family are with o2). It is perfect for me, and I don't go over. The only problem is the phone, it is rather basic. It does not have proper access to the internet which is my only real issue with it.
I would love to be able to go on the internet on my phone, read the news and fb ect. I have heard of new Android phones, that are relatively inexpensive in comparison to their Blackberry and I phones counterparts. As all I really want the phone for is the standard stuff, with access to the internet, can anyone recommend a phone, and a deal if possible?
Also, what am I missing out by not getting a Blackberry/I Phone/Other smart phone? I would consider getting one, but not sure what the point would be. Rep will be given.
Suggest phone and contract O2 Watch

there's an increasing range of cheaper smartphones ... i have a touchscreen samsung - not an amazingly expensive one or really cheapo either... but it's good enough for me and does pretty much the same as any other smartphone
atm i'm on orange - top up by a tenner and get 300 txts and unlimited internet + magic number calls for 20p for upto an hour, though tbh your O2 deal sounds better
