Hello, my school issued the deadline of 7th December for submitting UCAS applications and I have left it late having problems deciding on course/unis and generally not sorting out things sooner. Due to the snow I've been off sixth form yesterday, today and now tomorrow(Friday) and the head of sixth form needs to check my UCAS before sending it off. As the actual UCAS deadline for me is 15th January it won't be an issue if I don't end up sending the UCAS form off before my sixth form deadline will it?

    Thanks

It shouldn't be. An internal deadline, is an internal deadline, it shouldn't effect your chances with UCAS itself - you'll still be able to send it.
My sixth form sets an internal deadline before Christmas so that it's out of the way for January exams etc. And it gets it out of the way.

It depends on your school. They may try to refuse - but then making a fuss or getting parents involved should help. They need a deadline to ensure they have enough time to attach references so if everyone is late it will be a problem, but if you're the only one it should be fine
