he was there for two nights? not sure
hotel cost, security costs, 4 plane flights! for himself and his entourage

    1 to Zurich
    2 to London for PMQs
3 back to Zurich to schmooze and bum lick
    4 back to London

who paid for Prince William's junket?

all for 1 vote, 1 fecking vote!

It's scandalous that taxpayers are having to pick up the bill for this

Well why didn't you inform the government that you had seen the future and knew we'd only get one vote? As you clearly knew this before, but no-one else did, I think it's your fault the money was wasted.

And if you're really that bothered, try a freedom of information request (assuming you can for matters like this). Doubt you will though, just wanted to rant about money.

Britain already had the Olympics, it was just getting too greedy trying to get the World cup too.

Anyway, I'm sure the Russians have already paid a lot of "inducments" to FIFA to get it anyway.

The taxpayer last year gave £294.6 million to the BBC to fund the news crews jetting all over the world to stand in front of a building and give a 5 minute segment. I would MUCH rather Cameron and Prince William being representatives of our country to try and bring something exciting and positive to our country than absolutely tons of money being thrust into pointless exercises by the BBC.

True...but the thing that I do not get is why would he bid for the world cup when this country has had/is having problems with the olympics?
Also why is does he want to spend money this country does NOT have?

Well to be fair we wouldn't really have to build anything new to accomodate the world cup whereas we needed to with the olympics. I'm pretty sure those new stadia for certain teams were already planned and will go ahead anyway.

Whats your point? Any Labour PM would have done the same.

2 votes actualy! But the point is that had we got the world cup (as we should have) the boost to our economy would have been massive at very little cost to us since we already have/will have the infrastructure.

Why the hell does everyone mention Labour? I've got to put something in my signature. My point was that such a case as going to Zurich should not be contested about so much with the focus on the "taxpayer". Why? because there are greater issues that concern the taxpayer which have cost a lot more than 4 flights.

Sanctimonious rubbish. Cameron has a lot more to answer for than a few flights to Switzerland. Leave crap like this for the cesspit of "news" known as tabloid.
