A general question about ucas points:
When a uni specifies something like ''300 ucas points'' necessary for entry to an undergraduate course, do the a-levels (or AS levels) have to have been taken the same year??
Or can i have a-level qualifications awarded 2008 and another 2 a-levels awarded in 2011, for example which make up the 300 ucas points??
thanks in advance if anyone knows
UCAS points- do qualifications have to be taken the same year?? Watch

It depends, but usually the points are taken from 3 A levels (or equivalent)... not quite sure what will happen in your position though... maybe contact a few universities you're interested in and see what they have to say.

It's up to the uni. Some like you to have done them all together, as doing 3 subjects at once is harder than doing fewer. So you may get a higher offer. If you're doing something else at the same time, such as working or volunteering, then unis may be impressed as that will involve time management.
