I currently have an iPhone 3G that is well out of contract with O2.

I want to switch to get an iPhone 4 on Orange.

What do I need to do? I want to avoid going to the shop and being told I've got to sort something out at home first...

As far as I know, I just need a PAC code from O2?

Also, does anyone know how long it will take for me to get my old number back?

    Thanks!

Ring 202 from your o2 mobile phone and request a pac (porting authorisation code). They will issue you it within a few days. After this, you go to an orange store where you want to take out the contract and you tell them the code you will have 14 days from once you have been issued the code as it will expire

    (i am not a freak which knows it all, i work in a o2 store) :L :L
