Hi, I am in the process of choosing my A level options, and i have decided to definitely do Psychology, Maths and Biology. I want to do Psychology at university, and there are no specific requirements for this. I am seriously stuck on my fourth option of A level subjects. Chemistry was the obvious option which everyone suggested, and although i am good at it, (got an A* in Core Chemistry), I don't enjoy it much and all my other subjects are very heavy; so if I choose Chemistry I would have to work very hard. I do not work very hard in subjects I don't like, so I don't know what to do. I first considered Government and Politics, then moved onto I.T which I enjoy very much. However, I.T is considered as a soft subject in some Unis. Could anyone offer any advice? Is AS Level Chemistry hard because if I do end up doing Chemistry I will take it for AS then drop it for A2.

    Thanks

AS chemistry is hard if you can't grasp the concepts and understand it. It isn't a subject that you can just memorise everything and be able to do well on a question paper.

AS-Level Chemistry isn't hard. Can't comment for A-level Chemistry though I imagine the leap in difficultly isn't insurmountable.

A level chemistry is more engaging than GCSE if you are interested in the general science but were put off by the curriculum.

My God, DO NOT take Chemistry if you're not interested in it. It will be very painful for you. Especially A2.
Edit: Oh, you're not taking it to A2. AS wasn't that difficult, but I imagine it would be awful if you're not interested in it. Why not look at the specification for your exam board and see if it interests you?
