Hello, when i first started going to the gym I was very against any type of protein shakes. I started together with a friend and we were similar size and strength, but he starting protein at the same time. During the first month or two, I managed to keep up with him and it seemed fine, but now, I cant.

So, I decided to start it. I been reading around, and, for example, in the maximuscle website, they say that you should take protein shakes in the morning and afternoon regardless if your training? I mean, first of all, that would turn out too bloody expensive, and second of all, can someone explain me the point of such thing? I understand taking protein after a workout, or even the morning after the workout, but is it worth taking it everyday or your just paying for expensive poo?

Just take protein shakes to help meet your daily protein requirement. Try to get as much of it from food as possible, and where you can't use protein powder. Maximuscle is expensive. Myprotein, BSD etc are cheaper, here's a link to discount codes.

They are mainly for building muscles when weightlifting regularly. I make my own. (Blend Whole milk, bananas, honey & soft boiled eggs).

Or you can eat a 6 oz can of tuna in oil pretty fast. 25g of protein and only 50 cents.
