I take English Language, English Lit, History and Government & Politics at AS Level right now but have been thinking for a while about dropping English Language completely and just doing three AS subjects.

I never planned on doing English Lit but ended up doing it, thinking I'd hate it but I love it and it's actually English Language that I can't stand.

I'm not exaggerating at all when I say this, it's the worst subject I've ever done. It's so boring, the "teaching" is rubbish and I just find that I'm not learning anything. It ruins my day and makes me so miserable. I just don't see the point in carrying on with something that makes me this unhappy.

You'll probably say that I should stick it out for this year and then drop it after AS but seriously, I can't wait that long. I try my absolute hardest in it and still get nowhere. It's not what I expected at all. I thought it would be about grammar and media which is what they told us it would be and it's nothing like that. It's about nouns and stuff that we've done since we were five. We've been doing our cousework but one of my teachers doesn't seem to want to mark it and has only read the first paragraph of mine. Honestly, it's pathetic.

I think it would be better for me just to drop this, and as I'll have more free time to do other work, I'd get better grades my other subjects, for example, getting ABB instead of BCCD.
