    Hi all,

I am looking for a laptop. I have a budget of £600. I currently have a dell studio 1555 which is pretty fast, and I am looking for something similar to that spec. However, I would like something smaller, preferably 15 inch or under.

    My requirements are:

    At least 4gb ram
At least 300gb hard drive space
    64 bit operating system
    At least 2.40 processor

I am keen on getting a well known brand, like Toshiba, Dell, HP or Sony. However, someone said Sony should be avoided at all costs.

Please help! Which laptop would you recommend?

What about this which is cheaper. Or this. Or this 13.3" one. The last few have 500GB hard drive rather than 320.

I know this is Acer, but it's a good spec.

And there's nothing wrong with Sony besides the cost, but atm they still have their VAT back deal.

A good spec is unusable without a reliable laptop.

At under £600 yes avoid Sony. Go for a HP (not compaq) and you wont be dissapointed.
