    The Swine Flu virus was said to be a mixture of Human, Pig and Bird flu, did these elements mix via Horizontal Gene Transfer? Or Some other method?

    Part of a Project on disease, and I can't seem to find if it was and if not how it was transferred.

    The process is referred to as 'antigenic shift'. You might find the wikipedia useful:
