    Right I just wanted to ask, if I get into uni this coming year to do a foundation year for mechanical engineering, I would pay the 3 grand, if I pass the foundation i would get onto BEng for mech eng, would that mean i would still pay the 3 grand or would i have to pay the 9 grand?

    IIRC, if you enter on the lower tariff, you'll stick with that tariff throughout your time at Uni. Don't think a foundation year affects it, as you stay on the same course and course number throughout your time at Uni.

    so i would pay the 3 grand overall? i think the course number is different tbh

    You'd pay about £3000 a year, and the number will be the same as you are one the same continuous course (you're just taking 4 years to complete the degree, not 3)

    I am currently doing a foundation degree, then a 1 year top up to get me a ba hons degree. Because it is considered an add on course I am goingto have to pay £7,500 for that year!
