Hey guys I'm in a bit of a rut

I'm currently studying my As levels in English Lang&Lit, Media and Politics, however I don't want to go onto university. Partly because I cannot risk going into debt, especially with the expected tuition fee rise, and secondly because I'm more of a practical and productive person rather than an academic.

However, all of my teachers and my parents are pushing for me to progress onto university, mainly because of my predicted AS grades A in English, A in Media and a C in Politics.

I was wondering what can I do with an AAB (english, media & politics) after I finish off my A2 levels? I've got 13 gcse's (7a*'s) and hopefully will get an AAB in my alevels..

I want to get into publishing/ journalism. Is there any sort of internship that I can do after? How long does it take to be in a decent position?

I don't mind going into retail too, being a stereotype, I love my clothes. So I was wondering how long would it take to be in a stable and comfy position in the hierarchy in a place like, let's say, Topshop? and how long would it take to get to that position?
    Thanks in advance
