I'm going to be applying for languages at uni. I think i want to apply for the modern languages course, i was just wondering, the people who are doing modern languages, or who have applied for them, what unis did you choose and which ones do you think are the best. I would be doing Spanish as my post A level and i want to do French at ab-initio but not all unis offer that, so if not i would probably choose, italian or Chines but it all depends on what ab-initio languages are offered.
Thanks for reading it and if you think you have some useful advice for me i would appreciate it lots! thank you!!

I haven't applied to there, but Sheffield offers a really wide range of language degrees. I think Nottingham does aswell. Hope this helps. (:

I'm doing French and Italian (probably quite obvious from the sig...) and it's great. You can do French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Polish, Catalan, Czech, and I swear I saw Latvian somewhere. The last three I *think* are just part of a wider course though, not sure.
The only thing is, why bother studying Spanish at uni when you've said in your sig you're already fluent? It'll be a ridiculously easy time for you but it's a bit of a waste, all that teaching time for someone who doesn't need taught... I'd rather have the chance to learn something new
good luck at getting in somewhere!
