Best mindset before interview/assessment centre?

What is the best attitude and approach to take before an interview/AC?

Is it:

1) Being utterly confident that you are going to get the job and going into the interview knowing that by the time you come you will have a job

2) Accept that you are going to fail the interview, so give it all in the interview knowing that you have nothing to lose.

With 1) you might end up being hugely disappointed if you don't get the job. 2) might be being too pessimistic.

Is it somewhere in the middle?

Act like a badass and be scared of nothing.

Seriously I was at a group interview a few months ago and everyone looked so depressed and pessimistic because they were graduates on the dole. No-one likes that attitude.

Best attitude is the 'I'm not leaving that building until I get the job' mindset, has always worked for me.
