when you fill in your UCAS fill the grades that you have, and then leave the one you are retaking as 'pending'...

    - you can still fill in your other module scores.

In your reference they can mention it as well saying your original score was totally unrepresentative of your normal high achievements and your excellence in class debate etc.

Universities must get it a lot, so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

sorry to hear you got rejected with 3 As - that is unlucky!!. good luck reapplying.

I did that, but my tutor said that since I'm retaking an exam as an outside student, I have to show that I've enrolled at my school for an extra year and show it as a separate year in education. Since i enrolled at a levels during 2008-2010; I'd put AAAB and then add another year as 2010-2011, pending the B grade subject. Is this even right?

I know; it totally sucks! But this gap year has been really great so far; it's helping me be less dependent and so wont make me as home sick when I leave for uni next year! (hopefully! >.<)

You list the subject your retaking first with the existing grade, and then again as pending
