I very much admire this teacher and I do hope the tories give her a job as some kind of special advisor either to the education secretary or to the PM.

Describing how she became infected with the mental disorder known as liberalism and then exposing the tragic way successive generations of poor working class children, especially black boys, have had their futures limited by this ideology and some would say disease. If you read Dr Savages book 'liberalism is a mental disorder' or his new book 'trickle up poverty' which is a bestseller in the US.

It seems not only is funding an issue within state schools there must be root and branch reform of our education system as well as teacher training, those teacher who are either lazy or have become infected must either be retrained ,perhaps have a psychiatric evaluation as it would personally interest me to go through their medical records to see if are taking antidepressant or other psychiatric medications ,as Dr savage has apparently put forward a new theory that the liberal left are more likely to be seeing psychiatrists and using antidepressants. , At the end , teachers either placed back into those schools or sacked. We must not to put the blame on the teachers it isn't so much their fault but the exposure they had to liberalism through university and teacher training. Then that culture being kept in place within schools.

What she describes within our schools is truly heartbreaking.

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand the Daily Mail. Just reading it makes me cringe. What a long winded melodramatic article.

But we are all in pursuit of the same utopia, aren’t we?
I wanted what was best for the underprivileged.
For years, I soldiered on in the classroom
I threw off the weight of the Leftist ideology that had weighed me down for so long and shouted: ‘Free at last! Free at last!’
Is this a newspaper or an extract from a Tragedy? :facepalm2:

Many teachers believe funding in education is being neglected. But it is not money, or a lack of it, that is holding many students back
This is true. It is not a lack of funding that is holding many students back, but how will reducing the amount of funding that goes into education help the education system? It clearly won't. It will have negative impacts and pretending it will not is just ridiculous.

We have a system that offers too much choice without enough *direction.
You cannot push people to study particular subjects, only guide them. It should be up to the individual student, not the state, to decide what to study.

What schools are crying out for are teachers who can inspire but also control an unruly class, teachers who can effectively impart the basics to everyone but who can also help the more able achieve their highest potential.
Alright, and how would voting Conservative help that? Is it not the Conservatives that invented the league table system, and ofsted which has resulted in the best teachers wanting to teach in the best schools in order to avoid being down marked by Ofsted?

We should be extremely grateful that the state doesn't employ someone so full of cliches, tired metaphors and lazy writing!

But the worst part of the article was its perpetuation of the idea of uselessly broad political groupings: "liberalism", "right-wing", "left-wing". What about what psychiatrists, psychologists and economists have to say about education? What about well-researched statistical evidence about the effects of various teaching methods? We don't see any mention of it in the article. Instead, we just see shallow, anecdotally supported claims presented in the name of political ideologies.

Completely failed article. lol at this:

"I particularly warm to the changes that will increase the power of teachers - abolishing the need to give 24 hours’ notice of a detention, giving them the right to search bags and restrain violent pupils."

The right to search bags is crucial to improving educational standards, kids! Look at what the liberals would have you do - NOT search bags and NOT give detentions without prior notice. Jeez!

And those are political ideologies that dont actually exist except in the minds of the daily mail. Its the kind of paranoid thinking that puts New Labour and the Socialist Workers Party in the same Left wing Liberal Conspiracy. Its the same kind of mental as when tea baggers call obama a Liberal, Facsist, Communist...

I absolutely hate the pathetic victim complex the Daily Mail seems to suffer from. It's the same with Fox news in the US. Whinging on and on about "liberal domination" as if they're in some kind of oppressed minority group.

Especially seeing as it is liberalism which afford personal freedoms, market capitalism and other such things which I very much doubt members of the Conservative party would disagree with.

Not surprising. State compulsory education is plagued by political correctness and cultural marxism. Aka: Pussyism. Why else are white male teachers too emasculated to discipline ethnic minority children?

Thats 3 minutes of my life I will never get back.

She is hardly "brave", I fail to see how she managed to defy dangerous consequences to bring to light what can only be described as a boring opinion. I can think of many people more deserving of our admiration. Yes, Liberalism is a disease, a disease that brought about a change in the electoral system that strengthened democracy in this country and slowly expanded the electorate from the political elite and extremely wealthy landowners to people like you and me. Have you even read that book? And just because it is a best seller doesnt make it a book full of undeniable wisdom. I mean Peter Andre and Jordan have both had best sellers over here, but I wouldnt automatically swallow any of their ideas on political ideologies.

To be honest I agreed with a lot of the things she said. When you're crap at your job, you normally get the sack. Teachers don't have this - bad teachers are extremely hard to get rid of. People here are just skimming it, picking out the sensationalist parts and churning the same-old lazy 'lol daily fail'. Bonus points if somebody posted the Daily Mail song, which they did. Basically most of you have put your heads in the sand and gone "lalala daily fail lalala not listening". In fact I think with that you're all proving her point.

Negative rep: For people who can't think of an argument and get mad because I said something they disagree with. At least try and have a discussion instead of trying the old silencing tactic.
