I like to sneak up on them and when they least expect it snap their neck...

They never see it coming. Gets rid of all hard to pronounce nouns, not so effective against adjectives though.

Goes both ways... unless there's a third way I've yet to discover.

I say it "memay", my mate says "meemee" (which sounds like a hungry seagull to be honest).

Pronounce it how it's spelt. e.g. that girl from the X factor becomes 'trake', jalapeños becomes jalla-peenoes, and deadmau5 becomes dead-mau-five.

Sometimes you pronounce it RIGHT, invoking wtfs from everyone else.

"Do you have any Braun toothbrushes?"
      "Wha?"
      "Braun toothbrushes."
      "..."
      "..."
      "OH! BROOOOOORN toothbrushes."

      Bad times.
