    Hey =)
    Im only doing 2 A-levels at the moment in sociology and business as I dropped 2 last year.
    I have got some UCAS tariff points in 2 of the other AS-levels that I dropped and I have picked up another AS this year in Accounting.

    My question is I got 2 conditional offers stating they need 280 points from 3 A-levels. Now thats pretty much impossible as its way too late to continue the either of the subjects I dropped last year and I didn't do too well in them anyway seeing as I got an E and a D.
    Just wondering why I would get a conditional offer from a uni that I can't achieve???
    Thanks for any help in advance =)

    Might just be a polite rejection.

    Check your UCAS form was filled in correctly. Then you need to contact the uni and tell them that either they read your qualifications wrong or you did it wrong by accident. Offer to have your referee confirm the correct exam details. The uni will change their offer - although it may change to a rejection.

    I was gonna say, if they didn't want 280 points from 3 A-levels, then you could get A*A*, which is 280 points (140 each)

    I've just checked over the info I sent to UCAS and I've done it all right, and at the time my form tutor looked over it as well to make sure that there were no mistakes.
    I'm going to get in contact with them tomorrow morning and see what they say.
    Hope it all works out and thanks for the help =)

    Many universies allow you to substitute a third A-Level for two AS results - make sure you contact the unis

    Not many unis will take you with just 2 A2s.
    Many unis don't accept tariff points.

    Got in contact with the Universities and they are going to reconsider it. They're gonna let me know at the beginning of next week.

    Yeah, it sounds near impossible to get it from 3 A-levels when you are only doing 2.
    You may have to consider staying an extra year to finish the other half of the A-level. =/
    But you should ring them and ask, just to make sure.
    Good luck.
