I am currently on the course in my 2nd year so if it is the same as when i had it - this is the general structure of it

You arrive (Hopefully not late like i was!) and have a chat about the general course
Then you go off to do a group team building exercise- we did one about solving a puzzle with the coloured maths cubes
The you have your maths and english tests - the maths one was just general maths questions and the english was marking a piece of work and writing the general comments at the end
and then you get put into your specialism groups and have an individual interview with one of the specialism tutors! dont worry they are all really nice! what are you specialising in?

    Hi Misty M Asif!

I have an interview for Primary education specialising in science at Kingston tomorrow, how did your interview go and what is the general running of the day? What kind of activities do you have to do and also what questions do they ask in the individual interview?

    Thank you!

Hey, can anyone help me - I have my Kingston Interview in March and was wondering what the general interview day is like and how it is structured. Has anyone already had their interview and would be kind enough to give me some tips?

    Thanks!

I had mine a couple of months ago - it wasn't too bad at all!

The English and Maths tests aren't difficult - the maths is just GCSE-style questions, and the English is simply proof-reading a document and correcting mistakes and writing a couple of paragraphs!

The group task was predominantly discussion-based (make sure you get involved and talk to everyone!). We had to discuss the qualities we felt made a good teacher... which was easy

Then for your interview they ask you the standard questions (what you can bring to the course, can you talk about any recent educational issues, etc). If you can, try to think of a punchy question to ask them at the end - it could make a lasting impression?

Good luck, and hopefully see you in September!

Yea, I received a conditional offer a few days after the interview! They're very quick at getting back to you - good luck!
