Fees are a big problem for me as I've not much money coming my way, having been made unemployed recently, but I have a 1.1 degree and want to begin studying again next September.

So, essentially, the higher class unis in the UK for Politics and IR, (Oxford, Warwick, LSE...) are out of my price range and I want to go to as good a university as possible.

So, internationally, what universities are well known and well respected for politics/IR?

Google only turned up results about uni tables overall, none of them subject/department specific.

ETH Zurich and Sciences Po definitely. Copenhagen, Uppsala and Lund possibly, although I don't know much about the latter two politics programs. Cost of living in these two countries is also exceedingly higher than Britain, which is something to remember.

I don't know much outside of Europe however, and many of these could well require proficiency in the language(s) of the country as well as other requirements.
