Not sure if this is the right place to put this but oh well.
I'm currently in my 3rd year at MMU, I'm living in a shared house, I've been meaning to buy contents insurance for the items in my room, but for some reason I've put it off until now. What I want to know is, is there any way to get the contents insurance for just the 2 terms I will need, I don't want to pay for 12 months of insurance, when I'll only be in the house for another 6 months.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Pay for 12 months then cancel after June, you should get a refund of the amount outstanding. It is how it works with car insurance etc.

Tbh you'll have to pay a cancellation fee in June, and given that (depending on what you own) contents insurance tends to be about £100 per year, the amount you'll get back is negligable.

You can transfer the policy to your new house however, if you don't move back in with parents when you graduate.
