Right basically, i'm a first year maths student at Cambridge and i've spent the whole of first term just like engulfed in uni life. Now it's suddenly hit me that I need to get a work placement over summer and have no idea what placements are left and when deadlines are for applying.
Like I've got a CV together but I have no idea what to write for the covering letter. Are there are any decent samples floating about to give me some ideas?
Also, which are the best places to apply to (and where am I most likely to get a place). I'm happy with almost anything, Investment Banks, Hedge Fund, whatever; just need some direction.
Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

What Ben is trying to say is that coming from Cambridge you'd think the OP would have the intelligence to read/search the forum.

Fair enough, i'm just trying to be lazy and hoping that some information hub will post a response that'll make life easier. But if researching, etc, is what it'll take i'll get on it.

I know exactly what PBen was trying to say, thanks. Now, what 'I' was trying to say was that he could spend a far larger portion of his sad life away from these forums doing something productive rather than arrogantly and needlessly slamming nearly every person presenting a genuine problem or who is seeking genuine help with something. If you want to help, then help and provide the best advice you can. If you want to boast about how good you are and put others down for their stupidity then you have no place here as far as im concerned.
