Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering..?

I'm mainly applying for Mechanical Engineering BEng, at the following unis

Nottingham
Aston
Leicester
City

but I am stuck whether to apply for electromechanical at Aston (where I want to go) which has a lower entry tariff than the mech eng course, or to apply for another mech eng course at a different uni.

Is there much different between Electromechanical/Mechanical?

The only different modules in the courses (Aston) are in year 3.

Electromechanical
# Power Systems
# Electroheat

Mechanical
# Thermodynamics & Fluids
# Heat Transfer & Turbomachinery

Is the electromechanical engineering degree less desirable than the other?

Any help is appreciated

I'm at Aston doing mech eng. Not thinking about switching anymore, this post is kinda irrelevant now . Are you a fresher?
God I'm first year at Notts doing Mech Eng. We do one module in electromech through this year (worth a sixth of the year) and I personally find it hideous compared to the others. Choosing mechanical will usually involve some electromechanical and vice versa. Take moar factors into consideration in your choice.
