For the emission spectra of an element, say Hydrogen. Is it what you see ? Ie only the balmer series on the visible part of the spectrum ?

Emission spectra is the EM radiation given out by excited electrons falling from a higher to lower energy level. The Balmer series gives the emission in the visible region for hydrogen.
So if i read your question right, the answer is yes.
