Hello, can anyone tell me about this internship?
Their website really is quite hopeless, all it says about it is:

"GBM Markets – during your internship you will undertake a range of placements including Trading, Sales, Research & Strategy and Structuring"

It doesn't even tell you how long it lasts for, or whether you are placed in one of those four areas or you rotate!

ANY information whatsoever would be realllllly realllly realllly appreciated.

    Thank you.

For 3-4 weeks, you undertake rotations. At the end of those rotations, you are then placed on a desk (desks bid for the interns, so you need to impress them during the rotations).

After that, you are basically going for a place on that desk which you have been placed, so obviously, if you have many desks wanting you straight after the rotations, you're in a good spot.

rotations amongst Trading, Sales, Research & Strategy and Structuring, or rotations amongst product desks?

Also, if you don't mind answering, how do you know this? i.e. did you do this internship yourself, or is there a page on their website i'm missing?

    thank youu

There is no HR email address on their website whatsoever.

Surely there is somebody on here who knows about this internship and could help me please?

They try to palce you in an area they think you'd best fit in first or place you randomly in some area in the busienss line you specified you were interested it (S&T, research, structuring) for a fe wweeks while you do ca. two dozen short rotations/interviews at desks across all areas in markets. You then decide which ones you;d msot want to be placed at for the remainder of the internship and they make a "bid" for you.
That desk you end up with is where you should try to focus on getting an offer from. If you notice its nto for you you can try to move towards the end of the internship.

i've found that that doesn't necessarily make a big difference to wheather you get an offer or not. And beeing "too popular" can also have negative consequences
