# sequences C1 HELP watch

1. THERE ARE 2 QUESTIONS WHICH I NEED HELP IN SEQUENCES PLEASE

1) the fifth term of an arthemitic sequence series is 14 and the sum of the first three terms of the series is -3.

part a) use albera to show the fist temr of the series is -6 and calculate the coomon difference.

b) given that the nth term of the series is greater than 282, find the least possible value of n.

2) the fourth of the arthermetic sequence series is 3K , where k is constant and the sum of the first 6 terms of the series is 7k+9

a) show the first term of the series is 9-8k
b) find AN expression for the common difference of the series in terms of K.Given that the seventh term for the common difference of the series is 12., calculate:-

value of K and the sum of the first 2o terms of the series

thank you

No idea what "albera" is.

If we call the first term "a", and the common difference "d".

Then what's the fifth term in terms of a and d? And this will equal 14.

What's the sum of the first 3 terrms in terms of a and d? And this will equal -3

You now have two simultaneous equations in a and d which can be solved.
3. You need to show us what you've attempted so far.
