No matter how much Eurovision pisses me off sometimes, I would rather sit through it than the ****ing X Factor or Got Talent nonsense.

It's all about the commentary.. The singing on its own WOULD be dull

The boy band 'Blue' will be representing the UK at Eurovision 2011.
Cant say I was ever a fan but at least we know who they are.

Equally, Jedward will be representing Ireland. Need I say anything else...

    I do love Eurovision.
I love less the pricks in the tabloids saying that Blue being selected is 'an invasion of democracy'.

Yeah, I'd love Chico to be there, he'd get quite a few votes.

The best countries are usually the Balkan states, aren't they? Do love my klezmer.

I am SO excited! Have watched Eurovision every year since I was 5...maybe even before (but I don't remember.) Blue will inevitably suck but I confess that I actually like Jedward's song. :ninja:

I AM #1 EUROVISION FAN HERE. :mmm:

What are people's favourite Eurovision songs?

2007 was pretty good, I thought:

Best song ever (in Eurovision terms)

    Cute

    Love this song, even now

I'm a sucker for Eurovision. It's so much fun!
One of the most memorable songs for me, I say song not performance because nothing really special about the live thing. The English lyrics are lovely:

No Name (Serbia & Montenegro) - Zauvijek Moja
    2nd place - Eurovision 2005

The actual video is pretty nice though.

    Translation:
"I Will Reach out for You"

    I'll reach out for you
    across the Rocky Mountains,
take you to my old stone house
    and the sound of bells
    will rise above us
    and will meet the sky.
    They'll never die.

And the sun will shed its golden fire,
and the sea will become an endless pyre,
and the mighty voice of angels' choir
will be blessing you and me,
    Eternally.

    As the time will pass
I will love you more -
the one I'll be living for.
